Transfers must be initiated by the institution you are moving your funds to, not by ModernAdvisor.
When completing transfer paperwork:
List the custodian (not ModernAdvisor) as the relinquishing institution.
ModernAdvisor acts as the portfolio manager, but transfers are processed by the custodian that holds your account.

Transfer Fees
ModernAdvisor does not charge a transfer-out fee. Custodian fees apply:
CI Investment Services: $50 + tax (per transfer-out)
Aviso Financial (Credential):
$125 + tax for a full transfer-out
$75 + tax for a partial transfer-out
These fees are charged by the custodian, not ModernAdvisor.
Closing Your Account

Important: Once your account is closed, you will no longer have access to online tax documents. For registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA, RESP), you may choose to keep the account open with a $0 balance until after tax season to retrieve your documents.
